All-terrain side table

BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires appear everywhere on O‘ahu and in the countryside generally: on Tacomas, 4Runners, local vehicles. People might not consciously recognize the tread, but they know it. For this sculpture, I transferred that pattern onto a folding tray table. The tread is still about contact, but the grip is domestic. The violence or necessity of traction becomes something like the background texture of daily life.
